Photos from DEMO Spring 2010 - The Launch Pad for Emerging Technology | #demospring10

This past week I had a great opportunity to join the DEMO Conference team as the social media / internet video adviser and sponsor.

Barry Hurd, my partner and I worked to provide new exposure opportunities for the 2010 DEMO companies by leveraging integrated HD video interviews via DEMO TV, social media strategies and universal search engine optimization.  In addition, we setup an internet monitoring dashboard to help companies track news coverage, social media mentions and other internet content such as photos and videos. The end goal is to provide DEMO with a leading-edge, real-time events platform that will provide new avenues to drive exposure for the presenting DEMO companies.

It was very interesting to see all of the details that goes into hosting a conference of this type that provides international media exposure. The production team and technology to create the event was impressive. Speakers commented that the DEMO pre-event preparation team was first class and provided a lot of value for their dollars. Then there was the media exposure. I met people from every major news organization both traditional and from new media outlets such as Mashable.com .…

Creating TechFlash HDTV, Video Motion Graphics, Live Streaming, HD Videos

From from 2001 to 2005 John Cook was always on my press list for Venture All Stars and Investment Forum events. Well almost always on the list, accept or the private investor pitch events where zero press were allowed due to SEC regulations.

This year I caught back up with John as he was the host for the WTIA 2010 Predictions event (I produce WTIA TV).  A few weeks later at the DEMO Innovation Meet-up in Seattle, John and I decided to shot an impromptu video interview with VC and angel investor guests. Since we both travel in the same circles John invited me to collaborate to shoot TechFlash’s 1st Anniversary Party and Trival Challenge.

For the project, it was clear that TechFlash needed a birthday gift. I created a new “corporate imaging package for TechFlash that included custom branded motion graphics package with sound effects. This was used for the intros and outtros for each video.  At the event Colin Christianson and I setup both a live stream and HD video studio used to interview guests at the even to tell their stories and the 2010 Outlook.
